Arriving in Macau
After a very early breakfast, we headed to Hong KongFerry Terminal bus. Ate Kat said that it was very easy to get there but we got lost. We got off at the wrong bus stop and spent an hour trying to figure out where we were and how to get out of there. We managed to find an MTR station and consulted my map on where to go.
At last we got to the ferry terminal and bought our round trip tickets for HKD 159 + 184 from Turbo Jet. It took an hour to arrive in Macau Ferry Terminal where we had to fill out immigration cards and get our passports stamped. And from there we hopped on one of the buses of the numerous hotels in Macau and arrived at our first stop for free 😀
The Itinerary: 1D
We hopped on a Venetian Hotel bus which took us right where we wanted to go. I was interested in two things when we arrived at the Venetian Hotel: try a slot machine in its casino and wander around the Grand Canal Shoppes. The first one took less than five minutes and I lost HKD 10. Beginner’s luck didn’t apply to me 😦
The Grand Canal Shoppes took longer to explore. It is a Venetian-inspired mall complete with gondolas to take people around the mall. I can’t afford to go to Venice so this will have to do for now 🙂 All I saw while wandering around were designer and upscale stores which I couldn’t and didn’t want to afford. I contented myself by window shopping.
